Here we are at the 'lefse weekend'. Since I've already gotten inquires as to how it went I thought I better get some pictures posted and maybe even get it done before Sarah does any posting! We also made cut out cookies before the lefse but guess we didn't get any pictures of that - either the making or eating process! We did enjoy the time and there even a few cookies and lefse left over by the end of the weekend.
Here are a couple video clips -- interesting background conversation!
Eating lefse!

The Great Dahlmuti... I love that game! It's sitting in my cupboard just waiting for someone who wants to play with me to come along! lol
glad they got that big rock moved! Theresa just keeps on making lefse in spite of all the rock moving stories flying around her! Looks like you had a good day! :)
Thanks Anita for the correct name! lol
i have to ask - what are "lefse"?
looks like fun!
For Becky Z. -- they are a Norwegian delicacy. I'm sorry to say this but I'm going to have to have a talk with your mother! : )
actually i think that was when you declared the revolution and I was celebrating.
oh, so I was having the good time!!
lol
Becky, lefse is the Norwegian's very poor attempt at making tortillas. Tortillas = much gooder!
I was going to make a nice comment about your "snow" picture. Like to see the updates you have done.
But the lefse issue. I have never made it and don't know how. I don't buy it because it wouldn't be as good as homemade and I don't know anyone who does. This all comes from living in the city I think.
And for Becky -- smear butter and sprinkle cinnamon & sugar on a tortilla, roll up and eat and you pretty much get the idea. Now I suppose I will get some flack (and correction) from the purists I am related to. That's OK.
This is for you Karen - there is some pretty good lefse out there to buy! I would suspect you have enough Norwegian influence out there to find some somewhere!! The lefse we eat is more often purchased than home made. when you all are back here we'll have to get some from the Norske Nook!! Hope this didn't sound like flack!!
: ) (You can still make a nice comment out the snow picture!)
Enjoyed your pictures...and stories, etc. Looks like you were having fun. Where did this take place?
Actually, I read your post about your Minneapolis trip and found out that it was to Theo and Sarah's that you were going. I thought it may be there place. Love her colors.
Must comment
Rudonna - yes we were at Theo and Sarah's. The colors are interesting and it all looks nice. They have window trim yet to do so will really be finished then.
Becky -- not to cause commotion but substituting a tortilla for lefse really isn't the same. Don't take Shaun's comment to serious either - tortillas are good and lefse is good but I don't know which one is gooder! : )
