Making ice cream

Marv adding rock salt and ice

Shaun diligently reading instructions

The process continues!

"Rolling the ball" by Papa under the watchful eye of the 'supervisor'

Ice cream is done - who will get the bigger bite - Hannah or PaPa?!*
(*Footnote - Mom was other wise occupied when this was going on!)

The Wheat Field

Here is the wheat field one week later.
You can tell my eastern Montana/western North Dakota roots are showing through when I get excited about a ripening wheat field.
I hope we are here when it gets harvested so I can get a picture of the combine in the field.
Guess I could leave those instructions!

Equal time

Since I have a picture of Hannah on here decided I better get one of Nolan posted as well. This is about the only cat we have that will let some one handle it. Some one must have dropped it off as it is really used to people and would like to move in the house! Nolan thought it was pretty neat that the cat would sit on his lap. He also thought it was neat to feed the cat his supper - some how Dad wasn't so impressed with that! Guess we need a name the cat contest on this one!

Knee high corn by the 4th. of July

FYI - knee high corn by the 4th. of July means we should have a crop - looks good from here!

Newest tractor driver

Just wanted to share a photo of our newest tractor driver! We have great expectations for her

What a surprise

The other day I decided to clean out 'my corner' of the shed - something that has been on my list for a couple years! So I busily set about doing it. After being at it for a few minutes I heard a noise behind me and turned to look and this is what I saw! I know some people probably think we are rather 'dead' around here but I didn't think it was that bad! He stayed up there for quite a while but eventually flew off and apparently out of the shed. What next??

First Post

I feel like this is sink or swim - I'm going for my first post on the blog spot I'm working on. Hopefully I'll be able to make it interesting for those who choose to visit it or for any who happen on to it.
