...not sure this needs any explaining...although I may have some explaining to do after some people might see it!

update

Need to do a little update about the Munchkins...they have been gone a week but I still feel I should be hearing them chattering about this or that and running to do one thing or another or asking 'Grandma, can I have an ice cream cone?'...(and you would know what any good grandmother would do!)  It was pretty special to have them and it is kind of hard to think they live so far away now...but at least no ocean between us!

 ...here we are .... hanging out at Uncle W's and Aunt B's.....

 ...taking lunch to the 'field'....or are we just 'shade tree farmers?...

 ....so what's wrong with eating out of the jam jar?....

 ....all dressed up with Grandpa and Grandma....

 ...a trip to 'Norske Nook'.....

 ....a little pool time with cousins and Uncle T....

...and here we are in car and ready to head home.....
And so the time here was done...it was a fun ride and we look forward to the next time and a trip their way, too!

Little munchkins....who are getting bigger

Thursday at about 10 p.m. a car drives in...and it turned out to be a car I wasn't expecting until some time Saturday....out popped...three little munchkins, their Mom and their dog, Lexi!   I was planning to get to bed early that night...some how I didn't make it....The little munchkins have all kinds of things they want to do while here...for about 3 weeks.  So far they have helped grandma plant flowers and helped Grandpa feed calves...there has been lots of swinging...grandpa got that set up just in time...playing in the sand box and running here and there!  Things they want to do....go swimming, go fishing, make books....and just about anything their little imaginations can come up with!  Hopefully I get lots of pictures....here are a few...

Spring marching along..

Well it is time I add a little something to this...not that there is much that I have that is very note worthy....
but ... the corn is up....

...but we can also have sand storms...

...glad for some rain that settled this down....

Soon we look for these special ones to be here for a visit

along with their Mom and a few days later their Dad is also coming....do look forward to seeing all of them since they now live a longggg..ways away...clear out in Wyoming!

We also look forward to another special event when these special people move close to us and become involved with the farm...

...so we have some busy times ahead but also ones that bring us joy!

Wyoming and such things

After getting home from Texas and sort of getting things back in order again...we had a trip to Wyoming....yes, Wyoming holds new interest for us and we'll likely get to know the road out there pretty well...good thing Farmer Marv is liking the idea of partial retirement!

So here are a few things from our time there....
First...grandchildren...

 Hannah and Mommy also there as well as little brother but he was busy crawling around!

Some one put in a request for a blanket....with sharks on it...so here is what Grandma found!

this kept some young boys busy and one girl...sorry it is side ways...I couldn't figure out how to switch it!

We did enjoy the time there...saw lots....and got a little acquainted with the area....sure looking forward to our next visit!   And we are also looking forward to our visit with some other special people...little and big... soon!

This is the second time I've edited this post...hopefully I've got it all this time!  One of my new buddy's in Wyoming...

 

never get enough of spring....

This year is rather remarkable...spring is definitely a month early....trees are budding out, the crocuses are well in to blooming as are the daffodils....lots of new growth everywhere...now just hope we don't get some icy cold weather....things wouldn't look good....but I think for the most part...mother nature does take good care of us...so here are some more spring pictures....

we have Lexi for a little while so I would be remiss if I didn't include her here....

..so this shows a little more of our spring....more like what we think of the end of April instead of the end of March!

Has spring arrived....sure seems like it .... enjoying these above average temps...glad to get some yard work done...and see new signs of life in the trees and flowers...

and even though the crocuses look the same each year...I always have to take pictures of them...is it because of how much we love the thought of spring after a winter?
Also needed the up date on the page picture from Texas to Wisconsin again!
