Spring marching along..

Well it is time I add a little something to this...not that there is much that I have that is very note worthy....
but ... the corn is up....

...but we can also have sand storms...

...glad for some rain that settled this down....
....and the irises bloom...

...along with the lupines....

I'm not sure who 'stars' in this but one of them looks suspiciously like my favorite son-in-law!


Soon we look for these special ones to be here for a visit

along with their Mom and a few days later their Dad is also coming....do look forward to seeing all of them since they now live a longggg..ways away...clear out in Wyoming!

We also look forward to another special event when these special people move close to us and become involved with the farm...

...so we have some busy times ahead but also ones that bring us joy!

Wyoming and such things

After getting home from Texas and sort of getting things back in order again...we had a trip to Wyoming....yes, Wyoming holds new interest for us and we'll likely get to know the road out there pretty well...good thing Farmer Marv is liking the idea of partial retirement!

So here are a few things from our time there....
First...grandchildren...

 Hannah and Mommy also there as well as little brother but he was busy crawling around!

Some one put in a request for a blanket....with sharks on it...so here is what Grandma found!

this kept some young boys busy and one girl...sorry it is side ways...I couldn't figure out how to switch it!

We did enjoy the time there...saw lots....and got a little acquainted with the area....sure looking forward to our next visit!   And we are also looking forward to our visit with some other special people...little and big... soon!

never get enough of spring....

This year is rather remarkable...spring is definitely a month early....trees are budding out, the crocuses are well in to blooming as are the daffodils....lots of new growth everywhere...now just hope we don't get some icy cold weather....things wouldn't look good....but I think for the most part...mother nature does take good care of us...so here are some more spring pictures....

we have Lexi for a little while so I would be remiss if I didn't include her here....

..so this shows a little more of our spring....more like what we think of the end of April instead of the end of March!

Has spring arrived....sure seems like it .... enjoying these above average temps...glad to get some yard work done...and see new signs of life in the trees and flowers...

and even though the crocuses look the same each year...I always have to take pictures of them...is it because of how much we love the thought of spring after a winter?
Also needed the up date on the page picture from Texas to Wisconsin again!

On the way to Texas....2012

We got on the way...Tuesday 1/10/2012...and this is how we were dressed....in WI

...it was 50 something...also Farmer Marv's birthday....he says he's never seen it so nice on his birthday in Wisconsin....so we were on the way to LaCrosse..
...we did a little of this....

...celebrating Papa's birthday....a yummy ice cream cake! (yes, there is a 6 & 5 on it!)

We were to be on our way south 1/11...after Farmer Marv went to the farm show in LaCrosse...and while he was doing that this is what I did with 2 of my 5

  ...had a picnic in the park by their house...now remember ...this is in Wisconsin on January 11....so....why do we need to go to Texas?....well I guess it is a different story up there today!...seems there is lots of that 'white stuff'!

We should be to our place in Texas in a couple days!
